Rotten Tomatoes

This year I decided not to  start my garden.  Mainly growing tomatoes.  My daughter had tomatoes on her sandwich for lunch.  (She never buys school lunch) and got unexpectantly sick. And I mean sick. I had never seen anything come on so fast and so violently. Now I'm looking at the news about all the recalls of tomatoes. Unbelievable that nothing is safe in our food supply.   nothing is safe.
She's okay, but how is it in this day and age that we can't rely on eating safely?  This great country is starting to sound great in name alone.  Public education gets a C.  Public education in the inner city schools (NYC area) I would give a D.  On a good day.  Food is dangerous,  toys are poisonous hazards made by underage slaves.  Nobody can find a decent job and the President is an asshole, and the VP is a criminal....and an asshole.

Oh, needless to say.  I did not see Jeffery Ross, because of tomatoes.  But the show ended up being Saturday.  Not Friday.  So, in a way the tomatoes saved me a drive to Atlantic City.  I can not DEAL with the Garden Sate on a Friday evening.  And for that I can be thankful. Gas money saved.  Saturday, my husband gets sick, after eating a sandwich with...tomatoes.  They weren't organic,  and, they were from Shoprite.

Well people... it's not too late to start a potted garden of tomatoes.  And if anyone gets sick, you'll know who didn't wash their hands.
